Appearance of unit doesn't affect its performance. ALSO UNIT CAME TO US MISSING THE REMOTE. However, a new remote can easily be purchased on-line for about 12 dlls.
Please note that serial numbers are recorded. If for some reason, the unit is returned, the serial number on the returned unit must match the one on the original shipment paperwork.
